WOW, the summer break is now over and many TEENs are returning to study away the school year.
The break had its good (away from school); great (partying with friends); and bad (no money to go out/buy new Clarks) moments, but summer ’10 brought a lot of adventure.
The music scene was full of collaborations. A couple of artistes did well in bringing fresh music to the table for the summer and hopefully the rest of the year.

Is he back?
This summer could not have ended without recognising the popular American singer and actor Chris Brown, who seems to be getting back into the hearts of his disappointed fans.
In early 2009, Brown was condemned by many for physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Robyn ‘Rihanna’ Fenty . They are no longer together and they seem to have resolved their differences and have both moved onto other relationships.
However, it has taken Brown a very long time to gain back the trust of his fan base, and he seems to be doing really well considering that he performed exceptionally well at the BET Awards and Reggae Sumfest this year. Forgiveness is good but people will never forget.
Music Notes
With time comes change and change is necessary is for improvement. Nowadays it seems as though almost everything is becoming computerised. Listening to the modern dancehall tracks and comparing them to the dancehall from the mid ’80s such as the Bloodfire Posse’s Pink Panther Riddim, you can really see the difference in eras. There is so much more to our musical culture and we can only hope that the beats of dancehall will continue to resound in the streets.
