Tesha Miller wants to be treated like a human being
THE younger sister of reputed Klansman boss Tesha Miller, today appealed for the police to stop targeting her brother.
At a press conference called on the family’s verandah in the Dela Vega City community in St Catherine, and under the watchful eyes of a roving police team, the sister, who asked to be identified only as Princess, said her brother didn’t steal a vehicle as alleged by the police.
Miller was picked up Friday night by investigators from the St Catherine North Police Division.
He is now under investigation for the theft of a motorcar in the parish.
“My brother continues to be targeted and blamed by the police for things that he is not responsible for,” said the woman, who asked that her face not be shown in pictures or video.
She asked that her brother be left alone and be treated like a human being.
The press conference, attended by friends and family of the reputed Klansman leader, lasted about 20 minutes.
Miller’s most recent detention was in October, when he was interrogated by Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives about crimes committed in recent times in the old capital.
Spanish Town has been the scene of multiple murders in recent times as the Klansman and One Order gangs have stepped up an ongoing feud.
The gangs have been at loggerheads for over a decade.
The Klansman gang is fiercely loyal to the opposition People’s National Party while the One Order Gang has aligned itself to the ruling Jamaica Labour Party.
More than 200 persons have been killed in the conflict.
