Digicel Business delivers multimillion dollar ICT solution at Goldeneye
DIGICEL Business has announced the completion of a multimillion-dollar custom-designed ICT solution for the newly refurbished GoldenEye Resort and Spas.
As part of the service contract, Digicel Business also provided technical project management that ensured the timely and successful delivery of the project, the company announced in a press release last week.
According to the firm, the final solution delivers a single robust IT platform scalable for future growth that enables GoldenEye to cost effectively deliver business applications and client services throughout the resort, adding operational value to staff and enhancing the experience of its guests.
Digicel head of ICT sales David Bates said: “We’ve had a long-standing relationship with the Island Outpost Group, GoldenEye’s parent company, so we were very happy to build on this relationship by delivering a solution that will undoubtedly help to enhance the overall guest experience at the resort. From the early stages of this engagement, we worked very closely with the GoldenEye team to assess their needs and provide this customised solution which spans the whole spectrum of our ICT services portfolio. During the implementation phase we were able to call upon the knowledge we had gathered and the relationships we had built in the design stage to ensure a successful project was delivered on time and on budget.”
Bates added that, “Digicel Business is more than just a full-service ICT provider – we think about our customers’ bottom line and about increasing efficiency across their operations. As such, we consistently integrate the best people, the most innovative solutions, enhanced by the strongest network coverage in Jamaica and superior customer service to ensure that we meet and surpass our customers’ needs as in this case with GoldenEye”.
Digicel will also continue to support GoldenEye on an ongoing basis with a single point of contact service level agreement providing help desk and field service support for all the technologies provided under the contract.
GoldenEye managing director Nick Simmonds expressed in a press release: “We operate a dynamic and sophisticated hotel & resort that is located in a relatively remote area from any other business or technology centre. Digicel’s ability to personalise an ICT infrastructure, including ongoing customer service, in our unique location in a way that allows us to preserve the integrity of our architecture and natural landscape exceeded expectations. Not only are we able to meet our own complex business needs, but also those of our guests who are able to stay as ‘connected’ as they need or want”.
