Rihanna dispensed with her R & B roots last Sunday night as she took to the stage for a stunning duet at the Academy of Country Music Awards. The 22-year-old singer joined forces with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and the pair brought the house down with their rendition of California King Bed. It came on a night of big performances, as Taylor Swift took to the stage and former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood shared the microphone with one of the show’s current judges, Steven Tyler. Speaking ahead of her performance with Rihanna, Nettles said she was excited. “It’s the first time that Lady Ri and I have ever sung together, and the first time that this song will be performed live, so we are thrilled,” she said.

But Candy, 65, has dispelled these reports saying her book Golden Girl, Silver Lining will be about her journey from an ultra-pampered, wealthy housewife to finding herself and her own path when she was widowed nearly five years ago. Her husband, TV mogul Aaron Spelling, passed away in June 2006, leaving her an estimated $500 million.

The 46-year-old actress was pictured last Monday leaving her New York apartment in the white ‘robe’, which she teamed with jeans and wedge heels. While to most it may look like a bath gown, the Sex And The City star was wearing a very trendy hooded coat. It was exhibited on the runway at the Halston Heritage Fall 2011 runway show during New York Fashion Week recently. Later on in the day the actress changed into something more normal-looking — Converse trainers and a cardigan-style jacket.
