Christianity is not superstition
Dear Editor,
I refer to the letter of May 24, “Superstitious nonsense” by Devon Gray.
Obviously he did not “probe into the core doctrines of Christianity” as he suggested others do. Had he done so he would have discovered that there is no basis of any of his claims against Christianity.
Christianity is not a “superstition… plucked from pagan beliefs”. In fact, Christianity, which is based on the historical existence of Jesus Christ, was responsible for the purification of pagan superstitions. The Virgin Birth, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension and the miracles are all historical facts supported by the evidence of eyewitnesses.
I hope that Mr Gray will take the time to study Christianity. He may end up saving his soul someday!
