JPS load shedding today

THE Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) says it is facing generating challenges that will result in load shedding across the island today.

The company says it was forced to do this because of its thin reserve margin and two major units being down, in addition to the unexpected failure of two other units operated by its independent power producers.

Specifics on the areas being affected will be communicated using radio announcements.
