No large igloos, pointed umbrellas allowed at Champs
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Attendees at this year’s Boys and Girls Championships, which begin at the National Stadium in Kingston Tuesday, are being warned that strict security measures will be enforced.
According to the orgainsers, everyone entering the stadium will be subject to a search and no weapons of any kind will be allowed into the venue.
Additionally, no aerosol sprays, large igloos, glass bottles, frozen water or drinks, DVD or video recorders, alcohol and umbrellas with pointed tips will be allowed, the organisers advised Monday.
Licensed firearm holders are being advised to leave their weapons with their local police or to make alternative arrangements for safekeeping.
