Men accused of killing car dealer face court today
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Three men accused of murdering a St Elizabeth used-car dealer, and pushing his body from a moving motorcar he was trying to sell, will appear in court today.
John Ross Fray, Michael Morgan and Somonas Gayle are charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm and will appear in the Mandeville Resident Magistrates’ court.
Reports are that the used-car dealer, identified as Michael Rochester, met the three men in Gutters, St Elizabeth to negotiate sale of the vehicle.
Rochester reportedly left the area in his motorcar with two of the men aboard, heading in the direction of Spur Tree Hill.
On reaching a section of the roadway, explosions were heard, and a body was seen being pushed from Rochester’s motorcar.
Another car was reportedly observed speeding away from the scene.
The police found Rochester, who had been shot, lying in the roadway. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
