Great action at karting meet
KARTERS Ryan Chisholm, Collin Daley Jr and Peter Moodie Jr stood out at the Jamaica Karting Association meet at Palisadoes International Raceway on Sunday.
All three dominated their respective classes.
For Chisholm, Comer 50 class is now officially his.
“My plan was to drive smart and make no mistakes,” Chisholm told Auto.
A good plan it was, as despite Zander Williams’ faster starts and early leads, Chisholm would take the lead after a few laps into each race. He took both his race finals.
Contention was the flavour in the Comer 80, as it continues to mix racecraft and aggression between the competitors. At the end of the day, the points fell in favour of Thomas Gore over his rival Mark Moodie.
In Rotax Mininax, the points leaderboard didn’t properly reflect the effort Joshua Sirgany took to stay there, as it was family battle with Justin Sirgany with MarcAnthony Eaton getting a look in on occasion.
Jonathan Law came out ahead of Thomas Issa, William Myers. Collin Daley Jr and Peter Moodie Jr had a noticeable return in Rotax Masters.
“I’m not trying to win the Abe Zaidie trophy from Joshua this year. I’m just staying in the class to show the others what can be done,” Moodie said at the end of the event.
