Ladies come up large in Maxxis giveaway
SHAYNA Stennett and Lurline Pink are the winners in this week’s Maxxis tyre giveaway competition. They each received gift vouchers which entitles them to a $5,000 discount off any Maxxis tyre purchase.
The presentation took place at the Jamaica Observer’s Beechwood Avenue headquarters on Thursday.
Nicholas McKoy, general manager of Chad-Ad Distributors Limited – distributors of Maxxis tyres, congratulated the winners.
“Welcome to the world of Maxxis,” he told the women.
He also urged them to drive safely while using the island’s roads.
Stennett said she was happy at winning the gift voucher.
“I never won anything by just reading an article before,” Stennett told Auto.
“I was reading the paper in the morning as I usually do. I saw the competition, entered and won,” she continued.
Clarendon resident Lurline Pink has a different story.
“I expected to win,” she said confidently.
According to Pink, she read the article and called her daughter.
“I told her I was going to enter and I did.”
Both winners said the gift will come in handy.
Maxxis are the official tyres for the Jamaica Karting Association.
Started in 1997, Chad-Ad Distributors Limited has an outlet at Newport West and another on Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston.
