Digicel’s Rav4 winner chosen
CRAIGEON Pinnock is counting his blessings after winning the grand prize in Digicel’s Rev into Rav competition: a spanking new, red 2013 Toyota Rav 4.
Pinnock, accompanied by his wife Cadeen, was taken to a surprise presentation on the grounds of Digicel’s downtown Kingston office on Tuesday.
Radio personality Miss Kitty made the presentation.
“My wife kept telling me she had a meeting downtown… No words can describe how I feel,” said an elated Pinnock, adding that red was his favourite colour.
He said it was only the night before he was talking to his wife about buying a used one.
“I couldn’t afford a new one,” he said.
A post-paid customer, he said he ramped up his telephone uses.
“I started calling more and texting more,” he said.
He gave a big thanks to Digicel for helping him to realise his dream of owning a Rav4.
Annalise Harewood, Digicel’s head of recharge, congratulated the winner.
She also had high praises for the promotion which was opened to all Digicel customers.
For a shot at the grand prize, customers qualified by just topping up with $108 credit as a prepaid customer, talk for 10 minutes as a post-paid customer, or pay their bills in full and on time.
“We’re always giving back and giving value to our customers,” she said.
Howard Foster, sales and marketing manager at Toyota Jamaica, said the partnership with Digicel was good.
He told Pinnock he would enjoy his Toyota Rav 4 as it had all the trappings.
“The SUV possess a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and has four-wheel drive capabilties.”
Also sharing the occasion were second-place winner of $500,000 and a Samsung smartphone, Ardenne student Nicholas Whyte, and third-place winner Sharrel Jackson, who received $200,000 and a smartphone.
