When did you start track and field?
I started in primary school but stopped and did not resume until I was in lower sixth form.
How did you get involved in track and field?
My father Donovan is a big track and field fan and he was the one who always encouraged me to get involved.
Who are your local and international track and field idols?
My international idol is double sprint world record holder Usain Bolt, and locally (former Munro College sprinter) Delano Williams.
How do you rate your school’s chances in this year’s Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships?
We are small in numbers but as they say we can be little but ‘tallawah’, and we are just going there to give it our all.
Which school do you fear the most and why?
It’s between Calabar and KC, but I think Calabar will win.
How important is it for a student athlete to have a solid education?
Education is very, very important. Anyone can become injured so education is very important because it can further increase your level of opportunities.
What are your educational achievements to date?
I have eight CXC subjects at ones and twos and four CAPE at unit one.
What is your ultimate life ambition?
To become an energy engineer.
Who has had the biggest impact on your life thus far?
My mother Sylvia Ewart, because she is really determined and she does everything in her power to ensure that I become successful.
