Police nab east Kingston wanted man

KINGSTON, Jamaica –A man on the police’s most wanted list was Wednesday held during an operation in East Kingston.

Police said the man, who is behind several murders and other serious crimes committed in eastern Kingston, was held in the Bayshore area.

The arrest of the man come days after another believed to be the head of an extortion ring in the east Kingston area was held.

“The man is believed to be one of the key player behind a scheme where criminals were capturing and renting houses to residents in the division,” said Hornet Williams, deputy superintendent in the area.
