Police appeal to witnesses, victims
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police late Friday issed an appeal to victims, witnesses or anyone with information regarding breaches of the Trafficking in Persons (Prevention, Suppression and Punishment) and Sexual Offences acts to make a report so the matters can be investigated.
A news release from the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said the appeal follows a series of “counteroffensive operations spearheaded by the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), against human trafficking and related offences to clamp down on the illegal activities”.
To make a report, the release said people can visit OCID’s office at 8-10 Ocean Boulevard in Kingston, or contact them at 967-1389/922-3771. People can also visit the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse located at 3 Ruthven Road, Kingston, or contact the offices at 926-07318/926-6538.
