JCC Awards on June 12
CORPORATE giants Lime, Red Stripe and GraceKennedy will vie for the top award at this year’s Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Annual Awards Ceremony.
The companies nominated in the Best of Chamber- Large category, lead a host of top-performing companies nominated in various categories as part of this year’s awards to be held on June 12 at the Jamaica Pegasus.
The other categories of awards are divided into Best of Chamber medium and small. At the event, JCC will recognise local companies which have excelled in meeting their corporate goals and objectives over the last year.
Main Event Entertainment Group Limited, Barita Investments Limited, and Victoria Mutual Building Society (VMBS) are up for the Best of Chamber – Medium award. Jamaica Energy Partners, Factories Corporation of Jamaica and Bogues Brothers Industries Limited are up for the Best of Chamber- Small award.
Speaking on this year’s ceremony, Catherine Kennedy, third vice president of the JCC, indicated that the JCC was looking to lead the transformation agenda for the Jamaican economy through its highlighting of corporate excellence and achievement.
“This staging of the awards will focus on the collaborative effort which is required from the business community and key stakeholders to drive our country forward,” she said.
Under the theme “Building the Future Together”, this year’s ceremony will also feature an Environmental Protection Award and Best Parish Chamber Award, with Red Stripe and Berger Paints as nominees, while St. Ann and Portland Chambers of Commerce and the Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Industry go up for Best Parish Chamber Award.
