STYLEWEEK Jamaica celebrates The Rock
As the momentum grows for this year’s STYLEWEEK Jamaica, which kicks off Thursday, May 22, the local fashion contingent of Neah Lis, TNT Fashions Tasha Gordon, HOD by Gregory Williams, Nina, Kaydian Nicely, Karl Brown, Heather Layne for Elan, and Balla Sean are all set to unveil their Spring/Summer 2015 collections at the fashion event, which this year will assume the style of more intimate atelier presentations.
“The designer quota has been oversubscribed since March. Jamaican designers have embraced the STYLEWEEK platform as their own. The unique events, and the calibre of the models have made for a stronger proposition,” remarked SAINT International CEO Deiwght .Peters. “The concept of STYLEWEEK Jamaica 2014 revolves around a more strategic and pointed presentation and execution to benefit our sponsors and the overall industry. This means there are no tickets on sale and events will be strictly by non-transferable invitations, except SUPERMODEL CITY LOCKDOWN & FASHIONBLOCK.”
There also continues to be room made by the agency for designers on the verge to blossom. Along with the line-up of household names, newbies Rochelle Lindsay, Juliet Harris and Shadae Narcisse will seek to impress with their debut collections. STYLEWEEK Jamaica is sponsored by the Jamaica Observer, Courts Optical, L’Oréal Paris, Desmond Murray-London, The Jamaica Tourist Board, Clearsounds Production, FAME FM, MaxBrown Boutiques, Profiles 98 Magazine (New York), Spanish Court Hotel, Suncity FM, Hot 102, KOOL FM, et al.
