Stand your ground, Professor
Dear Editor,
Let Professor Brendan Bain of the University of the West Indies (UWI) know that I and many others are standing by his side because of the scientific facts he presented against homosexual lifestyles.
The LGBT lobby groups have shown their true colours. Instead of attempting to soundly refute the professor’s claims — assuming that they could — they want him to shut up. He did not quote the Bible, the Qu’ran or the Buddha, but used science.
The vehemence and anger expressed by the gay rights movement to any who oppose them is, in fact, an indication that they know their position is indefensible.
Trying to overcome a weak position by raising your voice is the oldest trick in the debating book. Gay lifestyles clearly create significant and avoidable costs to individuals, households and governments, especially financially. Jamaica is burdened with debt and the IMF already.
So if we repeal the buggery law, then we throw ourselves into a deeper pit than the one we are already in. It’s time for the gay rights movement to wake up. So, stand your ground, Professor Bain. Stand your ground.
