teenAGE is back again with another Press Record! This time it is with the young and hip lovers of Christ, Levy’s Heritage.

Levy’s Heritage has certainly denounced the motion that Christianity is only for the old and seasoned. Ever since their win on the JCDC Gospel song finals in 2012, music and ministry has become a regular practice for the trio. The group is made up of brothers and sister Ovando, Oneil and Oshin Levy, students of the Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts and the Holy Childhood High School respectively.

Not ashamed of the gospel by any means, Levy’s Heritage comes from a family of singers and musicians who are currently heavy hitters in the local gospel industry. You have their dad Lubert Levy and cousin Kevin Downswell. With influences such as Tye Tribbett, Martin’s Heritage and Mali Music, Levy’s Heritage is committed to using their youthfulness and gifts to spread the gospel whilst bringing souls young and old to the kingdom.

“We don’t just minister to those in our age group. Our ministry has no limits as we minister to those older than us too.” This, the princess of the clan Oshin told Press Record. After the release of their self-titled debut album Levy’s Heritage 1Touch last year, the group became more noticeable in Jamaica as a household name – and no longer were they just singing background vocals at concerts for their father Lubert Levy. After all, the trio is now industry darlings and is talked about everywhere, from Facebook to Twitter, and also among church goers.

It is a fact that the Levy’s Heritage (the album) is already a solid debut and is nothing short of impressive. Be sure to check out the trio at this year’s Grace Kennedy road show on May 31 in Hanover, and the JCDC Children Gospel Song Festival.
