Disciplinary actions by the Racing Commission
THE stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC) announced the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held on Tuesday last.
Jockey Jevvanne Erwin who rode Merovingian Queen in the eighth race on Saturday, May 10, was suspended for a period of three racedays for interference caused to horse Classik Makit leaving the 800-metre point.
Jockey Devon A Thomas who rode Early Edition in the first race on Saturday, May 10 was fined $10,000 for interference caused to Cause For Concern in the final 300 metres.
Jockey Jemar Jackson who rode Epic Zar in the sixth race on Saturday, May 10 was fined $4,000 for interference caused to Danos La Paz and All For The Glory leaving the 1200-metre point.
Jockey Kuri Powell who rode Darlin Emma in the eighth race on Saturday, May 10 was fined $10,000.00 for interference caused to Mia Breyanna in the vicinity of the 500-metre point.
Jockey O’Brien White who rode Jada’sfabuloustour in the ninth race on Saturday, May 10 was $6,000.00 for interference caused to Our Creation and Donata in the vicinity of the 600-metre point.
Jockey O’Brien White who rode Hologram Shadow in the tenth race on Saturday, May 10 was charged $10,000 for interference caused to The Professional and Jah Love in the vicinity of the 600-metre point.
