The recent dismissal of Professor Brendan Bain from the UWI as a result of pressure from LGBT lobby groups makes me wonder what will happen to those who are ‘worse’ than him.

Homosexuality in Saudi Arabia is punishable by death yet there are no calls for boycott of Saudi oil.

The United Arab Emirates also declares homosexuality to be punishable by death, yet the 2020 World Expo is scheduled there.

Qatar punishes gays with prison time, yet they are the hosts to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Russia has strict anti-gay laws, and somehow it hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics recently.

But when a professor presents scientific and logical reasons against men who have sex with men there is outrage and anger.

Did he say that gays are to be stoned or killed? He was called to give evidence and he did just that. If Professor Bain’s testimony was faulty or wrong, then the lobby groups should have stated any facts showing otherwise, rather than just calling for him to go.

There are much worse things done to homosexuals in the world, and the examples above are not an exhaustive list. Where is the outrage against those? How come no action is taken against them, but on churches and people like Bain? Maybe this is because the LGBT lobby groups are picking on only the weak and harmless, the very definition of ‘bully’.
