MANDEVILLE, Manchester — The curtains will descend on the Moorland Development/Pat Anderson Manchester Under-17 football competition tomorrow with title holders Manchester Academy and Villa United set to square-off in the final at the Kirkvine Sports Club.

Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

Both sides scored contrasting semi-final victories over Porus and Christiana Academy.

Villa United upstaged title favourites Porus 3-2 on penalties after playing to a goalless draw in full and extra-time, while Manchester Academy — who were reinstated in the competition after Comfort were expelled for using an ineligible player — blanked Christiana Academy 2-0 courtesy of a first-half brace from Travis Horton.

Meanwhile, 360 Degrees remain on top in the CAN Care Pharmacy Under-15 competition after beating lowly Blue Mountain, 5-3, to move three points clear of second-placed Alligator Pond.

In other games, Comfort temporarily moved up to third on seven points, following a 6-0 thrashing of Kendal, while Manchester Academy outscored Villa United 4-2 to draw level on points, six, with fourth-placed Downs.

The competition continues on Saturday with a full slate of matches at Kirkvine.

At 12:15 pm, Land Settlement play Alligator Pond and Kendal tackle Downs. Manchester Academy and Porus meet at 12:30, as will Blue Mountain and Greenvale United.

The final games of the day, both set for 4:00 pm starts, pit New Green against Mile Gully and Hillstars against Villa United.
