Six western-based players named in JBA’s U-17 team
MONTEGO BAY, St James — SIX western-based players were last week included in a National Under-17 team named by the Jamaica Basketball Association (JBA) to prepare for a home series against the Cayman Islands later this year.
Three players from Herbert Morrison Technical and two from Muschett High, who are named in the team, were chosen from the recent KFC Star Search camp.
The juniors will face a Cayman Island team in a series of All-Stars game in November.
The Herbert Morrison trio are David Peck, Alwayne Beadle and Gregory Wallace, while the two players from Muschett are Karlington Barrett and Devon Watson.
Munro College’s Khason Segree is the other player named.
Meanwhile, William Knibb Memorial’s Ronald Beckford, who led the Trelawny school to the ISSA All-island Under-19 title, was also named to the coaching staff.
