Tenza hopes to score with Good Fyah
United Kingdom’s based dancehall singjay Tenza is optimistic about her latest single Good Fyah. A collaboration with Navino, the track was produced by TMD Records.
“Its a spicy track with sexually charged lyrics. It has a very catchy hoot which is guaranteed to leave the listeners wanting to hear the entire song,” she said.
Already released in Japan and Malaysia, Good Fyah will hit the local airwaves this Wednesday, October 8.
Tenza, given name Jaseen Foster is originally from Kempshot in Montego Bay, St James, but migrated to the United Kingdom at age 14 where she settled in the town of Slough.
“Moving to the United Kingdom was a big step for me as my life improved greatly. My mother has 12 children and my father was in prison most of the time so she had to struggle with us,” the 27-year-old singjay expalined explained.
After attending music classes and entering contests, she became a member of the group Fya. They were signed to Def Jam Recordings in 2003. In 2010, Tenza relaunched her career as a solo artiste and has recorded a number of songs including Waistline Crazy, Solid as a Rock, This is Me, Out and Clean and Push and Turn.
She has also released three studio albums Pon D Endz Again, Wicked Like Me and Out and Clean in 2012, 2011 and 2010 respectively.
In addition to promoting her new single Tenza is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of West London. She is also designing the outfits for her new fashion line, Go Wild Colours.
