Truck ploughs into car killing two in Portmore
PORTMORE, St Catherine — Two people died after sustaining injuries in a motor vehicle crash on the Port Henderson Road before dawn Monday.
Dead are 26-year-old Prolwick Cunningham of Peace Avenue, Newland in the parish, and Carlene Brown, otherwise called ‘Boopsie’, also of a Newland address.
The accident occurred around 2:45 am when a Toyota Corolla being driven by Cunningham was struck by a truck while reportedly in the process of making a U-turn.
Cunningham and Brown, who was a passenger in the motor car, were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The driver of the motor truck was unharmed. He has since been warned for prosecution.
Investigations continue.
