Heads roll
Dear Editor,
High school football coach gets fired because the team doesn’t win the Manning, Walker, or whatever cup.
The track and field coach gets fired because the team doesn’t win Boys’ or Girls’ Championships.
No big haul from Penn Relays, the coach gets fired.
Any of the above headline a real news story.
My questions are:
1. What happens when the students do poorly in math or English at CSEC/CAPE, does the math or English coach get fired?
2. What about the coaches for other academic subjects when the results are poor in their respective subject areas do they get fired? 3. What about the principal? When does he/she get fired when the academics or the sports returns are poor?
