JAMAICA Observer online readers have criticised Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller over her declaration that she’s confident her People’s National Party will win both upcoming local government and general elections. Simpson Miller made the statement while addressing supporters at Sunday’s closing of the party’s 76th annual conference. Here are some edited comments:

Proof the PNP is the best party to ruin Jamaica taken from the PM speech. “We are cleaning up the carburettor, we are changing out the air filter, we are dressing up the vehicle.”

The PM is still back in in 1980s when cars used carburettors. It’s no wonder the darn engine is not performing as well as it should and is so inefficient .

Talking about counting your chickens before they hatch. I am almost sure had it not been for the free ride to Kingston most of the attendees could not find the fares by themselves. But yet these same people were endorsing the PM’s message that their lives are improving. Are people that dumb?

I was walking on water yesterday listening to the PM’s speech. I thought to myself, anything is possible, even the PNP winning the next local government election.

“Comrades, 2016 is not far away. We are not ready yet to step on the gas pedal, but we are tuning up the engine, we are cleaning up the carburettor”. This is more evidence that the PNP is outdated and is running on a foundation that needs to be demolished and rebuilt.

I Really like how the PM and by extension the PNP is “doing less with more money”. Seems someone messed up with preparing the speech and poor madam PM didn’t even realise and attempt to correct.

If I were Portia or the PNP I would not brag. Listening to her one would think that we are living in paradise… well, technically we are, but they have turned it into a living hell.
