Reggae Wine fest today
CARLOS Daley, founder and chief organiser of the Jamaica International Reggae Wine Festival, has great expectations for its fourth staging which takes place today at Whitter Village in Montego Bay.
“I moved my programme to October so as to create a festival in that period and not be part of the many programmes in July/August. I am confident I will prevail,” Daley told the Jamaica Observer.
Leroy Sibbles, Romain Virgo, Shuga and Tony Roy are the artistes on the show which has a strong wine component.
Chris Joyce, a Napa Valley sommelier, will present wines from that region.
“The response is great and from the amount of wine-themed events taking place since staging this concept in Jamaica, I am happy that it is taking root,” said the Maryland-based Daley.
