Jaital Tours gives back
Employees of tour company Jaital Tours celebrated some of the nation’s children last week when they visited several schools in and around Ocho Rios, St Ann, bearing gifts for the young ones.
Destination Manager, Sharatta Gay Palhie said in celebration of Child month and particularly Children’s Day, the company received items from some of their guests for distribution to the children.
“It’s a rewarding feeling just to see the smile on the children’s faces; they get so excited when they see that they are being given something,” she said, adding that the company recognised the importance of children and the role education plays in their lives.
“For us to contribute towards their growth and to foster that development we take pride in doing it,” she added.
Among the schools which benefited were Exchange All-Age, Pineapple Learning Centre, Buckfield Basic, Fern Grove Basic, Pineapple Basic, Newstead Primary and Ocho Rios Primary.
“It’s a wonderful feeling because I love children. It’s a joy to be around them and to know that they also feel good to see us coming to their schools and bringing something to them which they find fun,” said Stacey-Lee Anderson, tour representative at Jaital Tours.
The company plans on making the donation on Children’s Day an annual event.
The tour company, which also does airport transfers, operates in several countries in the Caribbean including the Cayman Islands, Cuba, Barbados, and St Maarten. The company also operates in Mexico.
