Seprod inch closer to domino quarter-final spot
FORMER champions Seprod Limited inched closer to securing a quarter-final spot with a 111-110 victory over J Wray & Nephew in the sixth round of the National Association of Domino Bodies (NABD) Kingston & St Andrew Region Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum Business House League last Friday.
Seprod, who were defeated 107-112 by their opponents in the second round, turned the tables in a low-scoring but exciting match.
Kingston Wharves, who have already secured their quarter-final spot, maintained their perfect record as they easily brushed aside Gleaner 145-113 to make it six from six.
The other team to have a perfect record in the top division is Campari, as they defeated National Commercial Bank (NCB) 143-121 at home.
In other games, Carib Cement blanked Bank Of Jamaica (BOJ) 124-108, while Cari-Med went down 106-142 to National Baking Company.
In Division Two, Ministry Of Finance (MOF) is the only team with a perfect start to the season as they continue to refresh themselves at the expense of Pepsi-Cola Jamaica 152-119.
In other results, Nutrition Products lost 129-154 to Petrojam; Flow whipped Transport Authority 160-130; Digicel restored their signal 130-123 against Seaboard Jamaica; Urban Development Corporation (UDC) crushed Kris An Charles 142-97; and Jamaica Observer edged National Housing Trust (NHT) 115-114.
Round seven takes place today with a full slate of matches in both divisions.
Kingston Wharves are at home against Seprod at King Port Building, BOJ entertain Gleaner, J Wray & Nephew travel to Carib Cement, Cari-Med host NCB, and National Baking Company travel to JUTC at Olympia Crown Hotel in Division One action.
Campari will be the team out of action today.
In the lower division, MOF host Petrojam, Transport Authority entertain Nutrition Products, Seaboard Jamaica welcome Jamaica Observer, Digicel are at home against Kris An Charles, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica travel to Flow, and NHT host UDC.
