Tommy T stays the course
Singer Tommy T is back on the scene with two song, Never Learn and Good Use. They are self-produced and released by his Tee and Jaa label.
“Both of them are getting good rotation. I recently shot a video for Never Learn; it should be ready for release anytime now,” he said.
Born Wade Thompson, Tommy T is from Linstead, a St Catherine town that has produced a number of outstanding artistes, including Joseph Hill of Culture, Phyllis Dillon and Freddie Mckay.
He began singing as a youth in church, but kicked off his professional career in 1994 with the single, Police & Soldier.
That was followed by songs for different producers but, while Tommy T sought the breakthrough in music, he held a nine-to-five job.
“I also had a job in the corporate world. I worked and lived abroad for a number of years, so I wasn’t able to concentrate on my music career,” he said.
Recently, he returned to the recording booth with renewed focus. Those sessions produced several songs, including Never Learn and Good Use.
