Cops find firearm while searching suspicious vehicle
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police are reporting that a Browning 9mm pistol and two 9mm cartridges of ammunition were seized by during an operation in Kingwoods district, Westmoreland on Sunday.
Reports from the Savannah-la-Mar Police are that about 3:50 am, a team of officers was on operation in the area when they observed a motor vehicle which aroused their suspicion. The vehicle and its occupants were searched, and the firearm and ammunition found.
The occupants were taken into custody but their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
