The Smule Karaoke app

T’App That

Ever wondered what it would be like to sing a duet with your favorite artiste? Ever wondered what it would be like to fiddle with even a small amount of the equipment recording artists use today? Well stop your wondering and keep on reading, we have the perfect solution. Allow us to introduce you to the Smule Karaoke app.

Smule Karaoke is one of those apps that has been lurking around for a while now but only recently got the attention it deserved from the general public. The sudden burst of publicity was due to the app partnering with various popular artists. Even more people decided to hop on the Smule train when they discovered how awesome the app actually is. Here are a few things that had people downloading and not deleting:

The number one draw for this app is the opportunity the general public gets to sing with their favorite recording artist. Various artists such as Jessie J, Omi and Jason Derulo have recorded themselves performing interactive karaoke using the app. This simply means the artist used a phone or an ipad to record themselves singing bits of one of their popular songs, the bits they don’t sing are the spots you’re expected to fill with own vocals. The screen is split so users are able to see themselves and the artist singing at the same time.

Users are also able to record duets or group performances with other members of the app using the same split screen technology. Go ahead and rock out with your amigos (or some strangers).

The instrumental/music selection is updated daily so you can expect your favorite tunes to turn up sooner or later if they aren’t already there.

Various music and voice effects are at your disposal to twist and turn your vocals or your music any way you want to. Autotune for the win! (Cheer vocally challenged people everywhere.)

Users can follow, invite and comment under other users’ profiles, videos or audio. Options are also available for users to block or

report offensive material or accounts.

We could go on and on about this app and its many amazing features but we’ll leave you to go check it out yourself. Where else are you going to get the opportunity to duet with Tori Kelly and T-Pain? There’ really no questioning whether or not you should tap this app.
