Juvenile escapes custody in St Catherine
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a male prisoner who escaped custody at the Spanish Town Hospital in St Catherine yesterday.
The escapee, 17-year-old Romaine Dixon of Quarry Hill in the parish, has been charged for two counts of simple larceny.
Dixon is of dark complexion, slim build, is about 170 centimetres (5 feet 7 inches) tall with a scar to his left side, a bruise to the right side of his face and a cast on his left upper arm.
Reports from police in Spanish Town are that about 9:50 am, Dixon who was taken to the facility for treatment under police guard, requested to use the bathroom and allegedly escaped through a window. At the time he escaped, he was dressed in a pair of black jeans pants.
