Hanover police find firearm in yard
HANOVER, Jamaica – Police in Hanover on Wednesday seized a firearm and four rounds of ammunition during a joint police/military operation at Logwood district near Green Island in the parish.
Reports are that the security forces were in the area between 4:30 am and 9:00 am when a premises was searched and a Colt .45 pistol with a magazine containing four 9mm rounds was found hidden among debris in a yard.
One person was subsequently taken into custody; however the individual’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations
