Gareth Henry aims at Olympic badminton dream
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s number one male badminton player Gareth Henry says that he is determined to make the trip to the 2016 Olympic Games scheduled for Rio, Brazil later this year.
Henry said that he is working to get the necessary qualifying points to be selected for the Olympics.
“It would be a very great feeling if I can represent my country at the Olympic as it would mean the world to me. However, to make the trip I must earned enough international game points to be selected and that is what I am working on at the moment,” he told OBSERVER ONLINE.
“The more international games I play, the more points I gain so that the aim right now. There is going to be an international tournament here in Jamaica next month and I am preparing for that now,” Henry added.
