Dancehall heavyweights Beenie Man and Bounty Killer are set to ignite Aquasol Theme Park tonight as the seven-day Brit Jam Spring Break Festival party series moves into its second day with the ‘Fire in the City’ emergency wear -themed party.

Both entertainers are expected to unleash their vast repertoire of hits and will be supported by fast rising star Masicka and Montego Bay’s own Chilando and Ricky Teetz.

Now in its seventh year, the festival was scheduled to kick off last night with a welcome party at the spacious Aqueduct in Rose Hall, entitled ‘All Black’, and should have featured I Octane with host Yanique, the curvy diva.

Tomorrow the action begins with ‘Cook Out’, starting at 2:00pm at the WesPow Park in Tucker. The event will allow visitors a chance to experience real Jamaican jerk dishes served up with authentic Jamaican spices and herbs, and will see performances from the flamboyant Tanto Blacks, Gully Bop, Shauna Chin, Demarco, and Rhyming King.

The day’s activities will conclude with the ‘Fantasy Island’ igloo-style party at Aquasol, featuring British sensation Don Andre.

The series steps into high gear on the weekend with Mavado and friends taking over the Ironshore Golf Club on Saturday for the all-inclusive ‘All White’ soirée, starting at 2:00 pm.

This is to be followed by the highly anticipated ‘Wata War’ at Dump Up Beach, featuring cutting-edge artiste Aidonia and popular Montego Bay-based artiste TeeJay.

Then on Sunday, BritJammers will welcome the son of the legendary Bob Marley, Kymani Marley, alongside Sizzla and international super star Blac Chyna to the super VIP event ‘Flesh’, at the Aqueduct in Rose Hall, starting at 2:00pm.

Following the weekend of activities, patrons will on Monday be treated to a planned excursion, while Tuesday will see Dexta Daps closing the festival at the mature event ‘Playboy’, to be held at the Caribbean Showplace in Ironshore.

“This being our seventh staging, we have pulled out all the stops to ensure an epic series. With our heavyweight line-up and diverse event concepts, patrons will be getting value for their money,” said Anneke Taylor, the festival’s coordinator.
