JHTA rolls out ‘Our Jamaica’ mobile app
THE Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) has launched a new mobile app that will allow users to view the digital editions of ‘Our Jamaica’ a magazine produced annually aimed at showcasing the best in Jamaican culture, entertainment, hotels and cuisine.
The ‘Our Jamaica’ app, developed by Miami Herald, is a free mobile application and is immediately available to the entire community of users.
The app demonstrates the JHTA’s commitment to mobile solutions and the organisations’ capabilities in utilising mobile applications that help strengthen client brands and evolve their businesses. “Our partners helped us quickly launch an app that offers great flexibility for the data-centric mobile experience,” said Nicola Madden-Greig, president of the JHTA.
“Today’s consumer expects to be able to use their smartphones to do almost everything,” added the JHTA president. “They’re more mobile than ever and consider technology to be a central part of their lifestyle. We want to change the way people travel at our hotels.”
The JHTA said mobile apps are the avenue through which it is heightening its presence in mobile technology to help their clients transform their business models. Mobile offerings, it said, combine industry knowledge and business process advisory services with cutting edge user experience and design to help clients harness the benefits of mobile across their enterprise.
