Jamalco, Ricam clash in South Central Super League
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Jamalco FC will be looking to keep their unbeaten record intact when they play away to Ricam Academy today in Zone One of the Charley’s JB Rum/South Central Confederation Super League.
Kick-off is 4:00 pm at the Brooks Park Sports Complex in Mandeville.
In the other game, also set for four o’clock, Black Star FC will host Tru-Juice FC at the Black River Community Centre.
Jamalco lead the group with four points after two games. Their latest result was a 3-3 draw with Black Star at Wembley in mid-week.
They will take on a Ricam outfit who are still nursing a 4-0 thrashing from Tru-Juice at the Bybrook Oval on Wednesday.
Manchester champions Ricam have three points, but are third in the group due to an inferior goal difference.
Tru-Juice are second and will be travelling to St Elizabeth with their tails in the air.
Wednesday’s result represented an impressive response to their opening day defeat to Jamalco, and they will now take aim at a Black Star side, who, despite sitting at the bottom of the table on one point, will be confident of securing their first victory.
On Sunday, Zone Two front-runners Dunbeholden FC are favoured to win their third successive victory when they meet New Bowens FC at Wembley.
The St Catherine champions edged past St Bess FC 1-0 on Thursday to lead the group with maximum six points.
New Bowens have one point, following a 2-2 draw at Downs FC, who will travel to the Lacovia Community Centre to play second-placed St Bess in the other fixture.
