HAYES, Clarendon — Runaway Zone Two leaders Dunbeholden FC will look to seal an early qualification to the semi-finals of the Charley’s JB Rum/South Central Confederation Super League competition when return-round action kicks off today with a full slate of matches.

The St Catherine Major League champions, who lead their group with maximum nine points from three games and a draw with second-placed St Bess FC, will seal their passage to the semis with two games still to be played.

St Bess, the St Elizabeth champions, trail Dunbeholden by six points, having lost two of their three games.

One of those games was a 0-1 defeat to today’s opponents at their home base in Lacovia. And, considering that their opponents have scored 10 times without reply, the result of this return fixture could be even more brutal if there is not an improved performance.

The sides are scheduled to meet at 4:00 pm at Dunbeholden in Spanish Town.

Three other games are also scheduled to kick off at four o’clock.

In Hayes, Clarendon, New Bowens FC will host Downs FC at the Jamalco Sports Club, while Tru-Juice FC travel to Brooks Park for a date with Ricam Academy.

Elsewhere, Zone One leaders Jamalco FC, on seven points, will play away to Black Star FC in St Elizabeth.

The sides drew 3-3 in the corresponding first-round game, but both sides will be hoping for three points today.

In Black Star’s case, this is a must-win game. They currently occupy last place in the group on one point and are desperate for points to revive their semi-final hopes.

For Jamalco, there is room for error. They are four points clear of their nearest rivals, which means that, irrespective of the result, their position at the top is secured for at least one more game.

However, they will approach the game knowing that a win would put them into the semis with two games to spare.

Second-placed Tru-Juice, on six points, could also join Jamalco in the last four should they beat third-placed Ricam (three).
