Over 160 pounds of ganja seized in St James
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Police seized approximately 161 pounds of ganja in separate incidents at a yacht club in St James this week.
Two individuals were arrested during the seizure.
In the first incident, on Wednesday, an American man was arrested when a boat, docked at the yacht club, was searched and 25 packages of compressed vegetable matter resembling ganja and weighing approximately 130 pounds were found. Five 15-gallon barrels of fuel were also found on the boat. The man’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
In the second incident, on Thursday about 12:10 pm, Cregg Donalds otherwise called ‘Man O War’ a boat captain of Oracabessa, St Mary was arrested when a white Toyota Hilux owned and driven by him was searched at the yacht club and a knitted bag with compressed ganja amounting to 31 pounds found.
Donalds was charged for possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and taking steps to export ganja.
