Cops seek help finding relatives of elderly man

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The Spanish Town police in St Catherine are seeking the assistance of the public in reuniting Derval Donaldson with his family.

Police said the elderly man, believed to be in mid-70s, was found wandering along the Spanish Town Bypass. He is of clear complexion, slim build and is about 175 centimetres (5 feet 9 inches) tall. He was dressed in a blue cap with the Jamaica flag on the front; blue T-shit, a green cut-off foot jeans and a pair of brown slippers.

The man, who was taken to the Spanish Town Police Station by a concerned citizen about 11:30 pm Monday, told the police that he is from James Hill in Clarendon but was not able to give any more information to assist in locating his relatives.

Family members of this elderly man are being asked to contact the Spanish Town Police immediately, either by telephone at 984-2305 or by visiting the police station.

Anyone who knows Donaldson or the whereabouts of his family members are also asked to contact the Spanish Town Police at 119 emergency, or the nearest police station.
