Morgan Heritage’s Gramps Morgan is featured on the remix of reggae singer Devine Songz’ Many Waters . The remix is produced by Cornel Phillip.

Many Waters can be interpreted as a love song or an inspirational song. I think that’s the reason why everyone can relate to it. The response has been very positive,” said Devine. A video has been released to support the song’s promotion.

Devine, who is from Kingston but resides in Dominica, describes himself as a true lover of reggae music.

“I’m the only son from a family of six children, so I have a special place in my heart for the ladies,” he told Splash.

A former member of Dominican reggae band Caribbean Vybez, he has worked with producers including Dean Pond, Cornel Phillip and Obanga Productions. He has collaborated with artistes such as Calypsonian Hunter Derick S Rose and Carlyn XP.

“My musical journey has been a long one. There have been good days, bad days and challenging days, but all in all, it has been a great experience. My greatest moment has been from music and also my saddest moments come from music. So music has been like a bittersweet love affair for me.”

Devine’s other songs include a cover of Laura Brannigan’s How Am I Supposed to Live Without You, Ed Sheeran’s Thinking out Loud and the original effort Under the Covers.

He is preparing to release a mixtape that will feature covers of popular rhythm and blues recordings.
