Section of Constant Spring Road to be closed Sunday
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Works Agency (NWA) will on Sunday, October 16, close a section of Constant Spring Road in St Andrew, in the vicinity of Market Place.
The road will be closed at 8:00 am.
Manager, Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw says that the planned closure is expected to last for about nine hours – until 5:00 pm.
The closure is to allow the NWA to complete the reinstatement work on the areas that were recently excavated in order to replace a defective National Water Commission sewer line.
Shaw says that during the closure, all vehicular traffic will be rerouted to Waterloo Road, Red Hills Road, Shortwood Road, and Dunrobin Avenue.
Motorists are therefore being advised to plan their routes in order to minimise delays and to obey the posted warning signs during the period of the closure.
