Woman hits brother in head with pickaxe over piped water
A young woman who used a pickaxe to hit her brother in his head during a dispute over piped water is to return to court for sentencing on November 28.
Kimone Gordon, 26, of a Duhaney Park address in Western St Andrew will be sentenced on charges of unlawful wounding and malicious destruction of property.
The incident occurred on September 25 at the home where both Gordon and the complainant reside.
During the dispute, Gordon used the tool to hit the complainant in his head causing a wound which bled.
The court also heard that she damaged his television set after she went inside the house and bounced it off the stand.
The dispute reportedly arose after the complainant went and turned on a pipe in the yard after Gordon had switched it off.
Last Friday when Gordon appeared in court, she pleaded guilty to both charges and a social enquiry report was requested.
Her bail was then extended by Parish Judge Wolfe Reece.
