#CariftaGames: Record-breaking performance as Ja cops shot put gold, bronze
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Daniel Cope of Petersfield High yesterday evening set a new Carifta Games record on his way to winning the Under-18 boys’ shot put at the FLOW CARIFTA Games in Curacao.
Cope threw 18.17m to smash the previous mark of 17.75m. Jamaican compatriot Cobe Graham was third with a throw of 17.33m.
The Jamaicans were split by Djimon Gumbs (17.58m) of the British Virgin Islands, who claimed the silver medal.
