CDA launches software to improve case load management
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Child Development Agency (CDA) has acquired an application software (Sohema) to streamline child case management, as it aims to improve on its delivery of services to clients.
CDA yesterday said that the software, which was created by Avocette a software development company in Canada, will enable the manageability of case loads by children’s officers.
It added that the child case management software which was rolled out in three phases will enable users to track, update and evaluate client information in real time. Automation of the process, according to the CDA, will result in a 75 per cent reduction in manually driven transactions and advance quality assurance for individual clients.
The team from Avocette along with CDA’s Information Technology Unit will lead a demonstration of the platform to further strengthen child protection, the CDA said.
