Number five for Cash Pot

Another Vigorous given go ahead over Patriarch

The Cash Pot ‘Only One For Me’ Trophy has 10 starters included in the pick of the lot thus far to compete at the juvenile stage in a race over six furlongs (1,200m).

Expected to lead the way are Patriarch and Nadeshico trained by Anthony Nunes, and Another Vigorous hailing from the shedrow of trainer Rowan Mathie.

The Supreme Racing Guide analyses all 10 starters in the Cash Pot in post-position order with a view of tracking the winner of this lucrative two-year-old race. All times of exercise gallops given in the assessment is based on times received from the official clockers.

PATRIARCH — First hit the track in compelling fashion when he literally breezed over the five-straight course in a rather swift 58.3 seconds. Patriarch, who is a half-brother to Bilingual by Casual Trick – Electrifying, has been kept quite busy at exercise, and on Sunday morning (October 8) he galloped a fast 1:00.2 for five furlongs defeating Nadeshico in the process. Patriarch is fit as can possibly be with the only negative factor being drawn in the number one post position. Will be close at the end.

COMMANDER TWO — One of three horses in the race without a win to date. Commander Two has raced twice before, finishing second on both occasions. This bay gelding by Forest Danger – Hurricane Michelle seems to be a fighter, and fight he will for a minor placing. Note the Tongue Tie is on.

WOODHOUSE — Another of the three maidens in the race. Woodhouse in his three runs to date has been able to finish in second position all three times. Forging a nice career thus far and while anything can happen in any race, Woodhouse’s best effort might not be enough to land the Cash Pot Trophy.

GREEK GODDESS — The last of the three maidens entered. Greek Goddess was 11 lengths behind Another Vigorous and a further seven lengths adrift of Commander Two in her only race. Even with the Tongue Tie now on, Greek Goddess will need more than the ancient gods can possibly offer to win here.

ANOTHER VIGOROUS – Was all the rage on debut and came in with quite an impressive run, clocking a very fast 1:05.4 for five-and-a-half furlongs (1,100m). Returns now with first-time Lasix and an impressive bullet clocking at exercise on Sunday morning when Another Vigorous sped five furlongs in 59.3 seconds. It was a gallop which the railbirds claim was as easy as can be. Another Vigorous gives the impression that he is special, and the Cash Pot will give evidence of his talent. Difficult to oppose.

NECROMANCER — Necromancer has so far raced four times and has played second fiddle to stablemate Nadeshico, three of those four times. Necromancer is not expected to boil the pot even with the Figure 8 now on.

NADESHICO — Three starts and two wins make Nadeshico the only horse in the Cash Pot with two victories in his still fledgling careers. Nadeshico is of ability but probably not enough to challenge her stable companion Patriarch who defeated her quite easily at exercise on Sunday morning. While the Cash Pot will not be run in the morning, can’t see Nadeshico winning even with first time Lasix.

HONEY RYDA — Did well on debut in her only race to date. Now Honey Ryda goes around the turn for the first time in a competitive race, but she has been well prepared for this shift in direction galloping six furlongs in 1:15.2 on Sunday morning. Honey Ryda runs tomorrow with first- time Lasix.

DAD’S LUCK — Did well to win on August 12, the third of this grey colt’s apperance on the track. Dad’s Luck has already experienced the heat from Necromancer, Honey Ryda and Nadeshico and is not expected to run in front of those mentioned.

MY SISTER — Did really well to win on debut (August 26) over five-and-a -alf furlongs (1,100m) in an impressive final time of 1:07.4. My Sister may just be the surprise package in this one, and with the inform apprentice doing the riding honours, anything is possible. My Sister galloped four furlongs (800m) on Saturday in 49.1 seconds to give a glimpse that she is in good nick.

Another Vigorous impressed at exercise on Sunday morning.
