MoBay Juici Patties franchise owner touched by post flood support
You could not blame most Jamaicans for thinking that no good news comes out of Montego Bay these days.
Residents of the world- famous resort city have come in for much tongue-lashing recently, as its murder figures zoomed through the ceiling creating a huge void in paradise, and a fear that it might spread to its environs.
Then in the last week of November, a terrible downpour inundated the streets of the city, flooding shops and stores costing owners millions of dollars in losses and creating what motorists described as a “traffic nightmare”.
But, in the midst of the crisis, kind customers and the devoted staff of CMK’s Juici Patties franchise, located on St James Street, Montego Bay, gave a remarkable display of allegiance and goodwill, when they rallied around managing director Radcliff Knibbs over the next three or four days in working to restore the badly flood-hit Juici Patties franchise and put it back on its feet.
“I am so grateful for the help that we received to clean up the store following the rains and the flooding,” Knibbs told the Jamaica Observer.
“I definitely did not foresee receiving all that support. The outpouring of care and appreciation has really touched me. I could recognise many of the individuals as frequent customers to the store, and it filled me with warmth to know that we had made such an impact on our customers that they would devote their time to help us in this our time of need,” Knibbs added.
As a token of his appreciations for the support, Knibbs immediately announced that he would be offering a week’s worth of free lunches to all the people who came out to support him and his staff in the clean-up and restoration effort.
