Where’s the ‘radical reform’ of public sector boards?
Dear Editor,
A year ago I was encouraged by the announcement that “Radical reform of public sector boards coming….non-allegiance to political parties”, which came from new Minister of Finance Nigel Clarke.
Since then very little has been said or done, and with most public sector boards either up for reappointment or new representatives to be appointed, what exactly is the status of this issue?
As well, I do hope that the suggestion of having published quarterly reports by public bodies is also a part of the reforms.
