M4gyver looks to a simple life
Simple Life is the latest single for former British Army reserve M4gyver.
The song was inspired by an incident involving a pedestrian and motorist.
“The inspiration for Simple Life came from the fact that everyone is always in a rush and they have time for no one. With the technology at hand, persons are so distracted and spend more time with their smartphone or tablet,” M4gyver told the Jamaica Observer.
He continued: “One day I saw someone fall and was almost killed by a motorist. Even then, no one stopped to help as everyone was rushing to deal with their own business. The song just came to me then. Why can’t life be simple?
Los Angeles-based Mikey Gallagher produced the song.
After serving in the British Army for eight years, M4gyver decided that music was his calling.
“From an early age my passion for music began. I was inspired by the clash between Bounty Killer and Beenie Man at Sting some years ago. I decided to pursue my passion later on,” said M4gyver.
The deejay has, so far, released two albums, namely Miscellaneous and Expression.
“I’m originally from Seaview Gardens in Jamaica but now I reside in West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom,” he shared.
Born Mark Mullings, M4gyver says he has been working with producers in Jamaica, who will be involved with his third album, which is due out in early January.
